LNS 234 - Fall Into Fall

Happy Monday!

Welcome to the latest LNS Challenge--Fall Into Fall.

The leaves were stamped and sponged.  I cut additional leaves, fussy cut and curled them, and popped them up for a falling into Fall effect.

Please visit the LNS Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the DT created.  You have two weeks to enter your Fall Into Fall card, L/O, or 3D project.  Please remember to link directly to your project and mention the LNS Challenge.  We look forward to seeing your take on this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies used:  Pumpkin Pie and White CS, Gingham Garden DSP, Basic Black, Old Olive, and Pumpkin Pie Ink, Baker's Twine, Modern Label and Word Window Punches, and Magnificent Maple, Splatters (from MPP), and Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Sets.

PP #166 - Countdown to Halloween

Happy Thursday!

This week’s Paper Players Challenge is to create a Halloween card or treat holder.  I made a Countdown to Halloween Spooky House that doubles as a treat holder:

I used the Creations by AR Dessert Cage Template, but cut a bat shape on top rather than the bird.

The sides are also decorated:

There is a double pack of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups on the top shelf and the countdown boxes have mini Peanut Butter Cups in them.

The boxes were made with 8½ x 7 CS, scored at ½, 2½, 4½, and 6½ on both sides.  Here is how it looks after scoring and cutting:

For assembling, the left ½ flap is the top flap of the box.  I did tape the bottom of the box closed.  Thank you to Karli for making a Desk Calendar and posting the numbers for each box (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 0, 1, 2, 6 ‘doubles as 9’, 7, 8).

Speaking of numbers, the two 0s were placed on the front of the boxes so they can then be opened on Halloween (it’s all in the little details).

A few other little details, the ghost's eyes are orange vellum, the bats flying out of the attic are on acetate strips, the Days 'Til Halloween and Elm Street were created in Word, and the lantern has a spider web stamped on vellum.

Thanks for stopping by!

LNS 233 - Halloween Treat Holder

Happy Monday!

It's time for a new LNS Challenge and this theme is one of my favorites -- Halloween Treat Holder!

It would be Halloween without creating a Frankie (and a Drac!):

The treat holders are made with half a sheet of CS and two glue dots.  You can find the mini treat tote box tutorial here on Dawn's blog.  Rather than punching handles and adding ribbon (didn't think Frankie and Drac would like the ribbon), I used mini velco dots to close the tops.

For more inspiration, visit the LNS Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the DT created.  While you are there, check out the rules for participation in the challenges.  You have two weeks to link your Halloween Treat Holder.  I look forward to seeing your creations.
