IBS WHW #102 - Swing Card

Happy Monday and Happy Memorial Day!

Today's card is for the IBS WHW #102 tutorial which is to create a swing card or different type of card layout.

I chose to create a swing card, but I changed the measurements from the tutorial on IBS so that it would be a regular A2 card.  I cut my card stock 5 1/2 x 7 1/4 and scored at 3 and 4 1/2.

Here is the card closed:

And, here it is open:

Supplies used:  American Craft Mediterranean and Stargaze CS and GP White CS, SU Real Red and Versafine Smokey Gray Ink, IBS Fancy Label Dies 1, Bakers Twine, Rhinestones, and IBS Ahoy Matey and Just Because Stamp Sets.

LNS 223 - Teacher Appreciation

Happy Monday!

Welcome to my Late Night Stamper's Challenge Blog post.  This week's challenge is all about Teacher Appreciation.

There was a tutorial on SCS for Purse Notes and thought that would make a cute teacher appreciation gift.

Note:  I didn't use the template, I just took the measurements and created my own holder.  Also, I cut my note sheets at 3 1/4 x 5 rather than 3 x 5.

Supplies used:  Perfect Plum, Whisper White, and Wisteria Wonder CS, Perfect Plum and Wisteria Wonder Ink, Lucky Limeade Marker, Doily, Pearls, Modern Label, Scalloped Circle(s), and Word Window Punches, and A Round Array, Blooming With Kindness, En Francais, and Kindness Matters Stamp Sets.

Please visit the Late Night Stamper's Challenge Blog to see the teacher appreciation inspiration by the rest of the Design Team and to get details on participating in this week's challenge.  Please note that now through the end of the summer the LNS Challenges will be posted every other week rather than each week.  That means you have two weeks to link your Teacher Appreciation gift!

I Love Paris in the Springtime

Happy Friday,

Today's card is for my friend, Diana.  She recently celebrated her birthday in Paris!

I stamped the image on White CS and stamped the flower portion a second time on another piece of White CS.  The flowers were colored with markers, fussy cut, and adhered with dimensionals.  Although I used Black CS, I used Smokey Gray Ink for a softer look.

I saw this gorgeous card on SCS.  When I went to M's to buy the stamp, there was only one and half of the rubber was discolored.  I didn't get to another M's, so I went back to buy the 'defective' stamp.  Of course, by then it was gone.  Alas, my third trip to M's and they had a new shipment so I was able to finally buy the pretty stamp.

Supplies used: Basic Black, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, and White CS, So Saffron DSP, Versafine Smokey Gray Ink, Markers, Pearls, Marianne Creatables Rose Dies, Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Accent Dies, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Circle Punches, and Stampendous I Love Paris Stamp.

I am entering this card in the Simon Says...Flower Power Challenge.

Creations by AR Customer Blog Hop - Mom's Favorite Color

Happy Thursday!

Welcome to the first stop of the Creations by AR Mother's Day Blog Hop.  Our theme for this hop is 'Mom's Favorite Color.'  Each of the Blog Hop participants will be showcasing their project in their mother's favorite color.

There are 11 stops on today's hop.  You will want to leave comments on all the blogs as one of us is the mystery blogger.  What that means is one commentor from the mystery blog will be chosen to win a template of their choice from Creations by AR!

I chose the My Picnic Basket template for my Mother's Day project.  It will be filled with Hershey Nuggets.  This an adorable project and one that I will be making again (and again!).

I love the bright and cheery polka dot paper.  The brads (retired) in the daisy centers coordinate so well with the paper.

Of course, I had to wish Mom a Happy Mother's Day on her Picnic Basket.

Isn't the My Picnic Basket perfect in red? The template is easy to assemble and will make a cute gift for so many different occasions. Adela's templates come in PDF and cut file formats. She also provides easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions with pictures. If you have not yet tried any of Adela's templates, now is the time to give one (or more) a try.

Following is the blog hop order:

Lisa Eisner (that's me!)
Jennyfer Leung
Diana Auberle
Mary Roberson
Gigi Lorenc
Deb Speijers
Lenoria Kelly
Rhonda Miller
Carmen Mitchell
Raissa Spatola

Comments for the blog hop prize will close at midnight (EDT) on Sat., May 11. The winner will be announced on Sun., May 12, here on my blog and on the Creations by AR Facebook Page. Speaking of the CbyAR FB Page, if you haven't already done so, you may want to 'Like' the page so you can be kept up-to-date on all the latest happenings.

I hope you enjoyed my mother's favorite color Picnic Basket. Please hop along and visit Jennyfer next. Don't forget to leave some love along the way. We enjoy your comments and you just may be the lucky winner of a template!

Happy hopping!

LNS 222 - Say Goodbye to Your Favorite Retiring Colors

Happy Monday!

Today is my first post as an official Late Night Stamper's Challenge Blog Design Team Member!  For the past three months I have been a guest designer, and I was asked to stay on as a permanent team member!

This week's challenge is 'Say Goodbye to Your Favorite Retiring Colors.'  I have quite a few favorites that are retiring...Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, and Pretty in Pink are at the top of the list.  For today's challenge I chose Pretty in Pink and Rose Red (they look so pretty together).  I also used one of my favorite retiring stamp sets, Elements of Style.

I first stamped the image on White CS using Black ink and colored the leaves with Always Artichoke and Certainly Celery markers.  The image was then stamped on Pretty in Pink CS with Rose Red ink.  I fussy-cut the flowers and attached them with dimensionals.  The embossed layer was brayered with Pretty in Pink ink.

Supplies used:  Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, and White CS, Black, Pretty in Pink, and Rose Red Ink, Always Artichoke and Certainly Celery Markers, Pearls, Framed Tulips EF, Top Note Die, and Elements of Style Stamp Set.

What's your favorite retiring color?  Click on over to the Late Night Stamper's Challenge Blog to see each of the Design Team Member's favorite and to get all the details on linking your favorite retiring color card, scrapbook page, or 3D project.  You have a full week to participate in the challenge.
