I made a gate fold card and used the new Follow My Heart stamp set:

I stamped the sentiment twice, fussy cut the banner portion, and popped it up over the first stamped sentiment.

Enchanted Lantern Place Cards and More

Happy Friday!

I hope everyone that celebrated Christmas enjoyed a wonderful day.

Today I have a few things from Christmas Day to share.

First up, I used the Creations by AR Enchanted Lantern template to make place cards for my Christmas dinner table.

I made 14 Metal Snowflake Ornaments for Christmas gifts (I am certain I took pictures of most of them, but can't find them at the moment).  13 of them were done in various metal sheet colors (blue, green, pink, red, teal, and white) with Brushed Silver CS.  I made one in gold and it is my favorite:

The metal sheets and snowflake tutorial are from Add a Little Dazzle.

Two quick gift card holders:

The entire ensemble for Anne and Joe:

Christmas Cookies

Happy Tuesday & Christmas Eve!

My blog buddy Jackie arranged a Christmas Cookie Recipe Swap.  Jackie sent me a recipe for Kris Kringle Cookies.  So yummy and festive with cranberries and white chocolate.  I sent Jackie a recipe for Linzer Cookies (I love raspberry!).

Here is a picture of the Kris Kringles I made:

And, here are my Linzers:

I also made German Christmas Cookies:

Last Christmas Jackie posted a recipe for Pumpkin Cookies.  I made them twice at Halloween-time.  They were super yummy.  I had wanted to make them for Christmas too, but time just got away from me.  I guess I will be making them for New Year's cookies!

Hop on over to Jackie's blog and see her Linzers (they are pretty!).  This was a fun idea and I hope we do it again next year.

If you would like the recipe for the Kris Kringles, please E-mail Jackie and if you would like the Linzer recipe, please let me know.

More LNS 238 Plus FM140 & Simon Says Challenges

Happy Saturday!

I liked my LNS Challenge card so much I decided to make a few more in different colors.  It is amazing how fast a three-layer, two-embellishment card can come together!

Wolfgang's favorite is the original one in Marina Mist.  As much as I like to use non-traditional colors for Christmas, I have to admit my favorite is the Real Red one.  Which of the four do you like best?

I'll be linking these cards to the Friday Mashup Bring on the Bling!!! Challenge and the Simon Says...Bling it On!! Challenge.

Don't forget to visit the LNS Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the DT created.  While there, link up your Quick & Easy, but not Plain Jane card!  We would love to see what you create in 15 minutes or less!

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies used:  Old Olive, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, and Whisper White CS, Polka Dot Parade DSP, Silver Glimmer Paper, Old Olive, Real Red, and Rich Razzleberry Inks, Doily, Rhinestones, Silver 1/8" Ribbon, and Festive Flurry Framelits and Stamp Set

LNS 238 - Festive Flurry

Happy Monday!

It's Monday and that means it is time for a new LNS Challenge!  This week we would like you to make a quick and easy card.  But, we don't want any Plain Janes!  You will need to use three layers and two embellishments, and finish your card in 15 minutes or less!  Yes, it is possible.

I have my card base layered with Polka Dot Parade DSP (my favorite), a doily, and a snowflake.  Creating a snowflake is a snap using Framelits.  For my two embellishments I used rhinestones and ribbon.

Now that you have seen my card, don't forget to visit the LNS Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the DT created.  We would love to see your non-Plain Jane card too!  You have until Sunday, December 29 to link for this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

PP #175 - Christmas Decor

Happy Thursday!

This week there is a pretty color challenge on the Paper Players Blog:

I made a Christmas decor piece:

I started with a 12 x 12 artist canvas (the back side of it) and painted the side and inside frame with white acrylic paint.  The patterned paper for the frame was cut and distressed before being adhered with glue.

My colors aren't exactly Pink Pirouette, Old Olive, and Raspberry Ripple, but they sure are close.

Thanks for stopping by!

Creations by AR Holiday Customer Blog Hop

Happy Thursday!

Welcome to the first stop of the Creations by AR Holiday Customer Blog Hop.

There are five stops on today's hop. Each of the Blog Hop participants will be showcasing a holiday-themed project using a Creations by AR template. You will want to leave comments on all the blogs as one of us is the mystery blogger. What that means is one commentor from the mystery blog will be randomly chosen to win a template of their choice from Creations by AR

For today's hop, I used the Simply Scrumptious Shop template.

We can't forget our four-legged furry family members and friends during the holidays!  I absolutely love this patterned paper.  So, do you know where the name of my dog treat shop came from?!?!?  Please tell me I am not the only person that watched (and liked) the Providence TV series!

Don't worry, there isn't anything wrong with your vision or my photo taking--the adorable dog embellishment is triple-layered.  When I saw him on the sheet of embellishments I knew he would be perfect for this project (once I removed the orange ribbon and replaced it with red!).  How cute is it that he is looking through the window at the treats?!?!?

The Simply Scrumptious Shop template also comes with two different inserts--one that can be used alone or stacked as shelves (perfect for cookies) and the other with an opening for a cupcake, K-cup, hand lotion, or whatever super idea you have for a gift.  Both inserts can also be used/stacked together.

Four new templates were released this week and there is a special on purchasing them as a bundle (which I am certain you will want to do!).

Adela's templates come in PDF and cut file formats. She also provides easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions with pictures. If you have not yet tried any of Adela's templates, now is the time to give one (or more) a try! If you make a Creations by AR project, we would love for you to share it on the Creations by AR Group Page

Following is the blog hop order:

Lisa Eisner (that's me!)
Diana Auberle
Mary Roberson
Raissa Spatola
Marisol Gutierrez

Comments for the blog hop prize will close at midnight (EDT) on Sat., Dec. 7. The winner will be announced on Sun., Dec. 8, here on my blog and on the Creations by AR Facebook Page. Speaking of the CbyAR FB Page, if you haven't already done so, you may want to 'Like' the page so you can be kept up-to-date on all the latest happenings.

I hope you enjoyed my holiday project. Please hop along and visit Diana next. She is waiting to share her holiday creation with you. Don't forget to leave some love along the way. We enjoy your comments and you just may be the lucky winner of a Creations by AR template!

Happy hopping!

Supplies used:  Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Real Red, and White CS, Queen & Co. Pet Bones PP, MS Branch and Grass Punches, Sizzix Tree Die, and Recollections Pom-Pom Trim, Ribbon, and Stickers.

PTI November 2013 Blog Hop - Paper Houses

Happy Monday!

This is my second post today--please scroll down to see my Paper Players Challenge post.

This month's PTI Blog Hop is all about creating paper houses!

I used the PTI-provided template for my house.

You can't get together for tea without tea!

The roof is permanently attached on one side and the other side has velcro dots so it can easily be opened.  Ten tea bags fit nicely.  I did make a bottom for the house as the template did not have one.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies used:  Bazzill, White, and White Sparkly CS, Acetate and Vellum, Versafine Crimson Red Ink, Lace, IO Door and Window Dies, MS Branch Punch, and PTI Heart-2-Heart #1 Mini Stamp Set and Die.

PP #173 - Welcome Home

Happy Monday!

This week's Paper Players' Challenge is to make a shaped card.  I had this card bookmarked for awhile and when I saw the new challenge yesterday I thought of an easel card.

Lots of fussy-cutting!  I created the sentiment in Word.

This card will be sitting on our friends' kitchen counter Saturday when they return from their Thanksgiving cruise.

Thanks for stopping by!

Pastel Gifts

Happy Saturday!

I made little gifts for my friend Renate and her two daughters.  I love using the PTI Favor-It Box 1 Die.  One pass through the BigKick and the little purse is cut and scored.  All you need to assemble it are two small strips of adhesive and then you are set to have fun embellishing.  I monogrammed the front and put a sentiment on the back:

LNS 236 - Use Those Punches!

Happy Monday!

It's a new week and time for a new challenge at the Late Night Stamper's Challenge Blog.  This week we are challenging you to use punches.

I pulled out my Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set and coordinating punches to make a cheery card:

I first stamped the butterfly images (with the help of a Stamp-a-Ma-Jig!) on the front white layer.  I then punched those butterflies out and placed that layer over what became the inside white layer.  The butterflies were stamped again through the punched-out sections.  After adhering the front layer to the card front, I used the butterfly punches again to punch through the card front.  The inside layer was matched up to the punch outs and then adhered.

I snipped the ends of the sentiment banner with the 1" Square Punch and curled the ends with my bone folder.  The banner and butterflies are adhered with dimensionals.

For more inspiration, please visit the LNS Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the DT did with punches.  While there, check-out the challenge participation rules and don't forget to come back to post your own card, L/O, or 3D project using punches. We would love to see what you create.  You have two weeks to link your creation.

Thanks for stopping by!
