SAB Spring Card

Hi Everyone,
As soon as I saw the SU SAB DSP I thought of Spring. I just love that SU offered paper and ribbon this year in addition to stamp sets.
The flowers are from the SU SAB Botanical Blooms set. To make the fence posts I cut strips of white card stock 1/2" x 2" and used the SU tab corner punch to create the points. The cross bars of the fence are cut at 1/4" wide. The background is Bashful Blue and the grass is Certainly Celery. I used a piece of the SAB DSP for matting. The butterfly was punched (MS) from the same paper and attached with a pop dot.
Isn't the fence gate opening adorable? (Sorry for my finger being in the way!) The saying stamped behind the gate is also from the Botanical Blooms set.
Well, I hope you like my SAB Spring card as much as I do. I was quite pleased with how it turned out.
Thanks for stopping by.

February Bikinis

February has flown by and I just realized I never posted February's Bikini Birthday Cards. Yes, February is a busy birthday month! I used different paper, ribbon, & ink for each card. Glad I remembered to take a picture of them before they went out in the mail!
Well, I hope you liked this month's bikinis. The only birthday I have for March is my younger brother. I better get busy on a non-bikini card for him.
Thanks for stopping by today.

More Valentine Ghirardelli Boxes & Blog Candy Link

Happy Tuesday!
I hope everyone had an enjoyable Valentine's Day. I made Ghirardelli boxes for place settings for Valentine's dinner (I told you previously I would be making more of these adorable boxes!).
For these boxes I used Making Memories heart embossed paper (perhaps you can see the embossing if you click on the first picture to enlarge it). Have you made any Ghirardelli boxes yet? If not, check my previous Ghirardelli posting. They are so quick and easy to make! And, they can be used for any occasion.
Before I sign off for today, I wanted to let you know about Melissa's (Creating from the Heart!) blog candy. She is offering a 'sweet' package, so click on over before the 19th and say hi:
Happy crafting!

Valentine Hearts

Happy Friday the 13th!
I made these heart purses for my nieces. They hold two Russell Stover caramel hearts!
The templates were posted on SCS by Mel. Here is the link:
I used the large template for the purse and the small template for layering with the lace around it. The third heart is a Sizzix cut-out and the initial heart is a punch. I put Valentine ribbon around the cardstock handle and attached with heart brads.
note: I printed the template without the score lines.

Valentine Ghirardelli Chocolate Holder

This adorable little box holds three Ghirardelli chocolates. It was so quick and easy to make. I know I will be making a lot more!
I decorated the box with my MS valentine border punch, scalloped heart punch, and scalloped heart stickers. The 'R' stamped in the middle of the heart is for my brother Richard.
I found the directions on Cambria's site (Stamp a little Love baby!). If you would like to make one too, start with a piece of 4 1/2 x 8 cardstock and pop over to Cambria's tutorial here:

Reese's Valentine Slider Box

Hi Everyone,
I made this Reese's Valentine Slider Box for my brother for Valentine's Day. It holds two double packs of peanut butter cups. Perhaps a template/tutorial already exists for this, but I created my own.
Have you gotten the Martha Stewart scalloped Valentine punches yet? If not, I hope you can still find them. I got mine at Michael's as soon as they came out. I absolutely love these punches! I have been using the scalloped heart for a couple of weeks already, but I just unpackaged the scalloped border punch last night to use for this project. All I can say is, "why didn't I use this sooner?" Oh, I love this border. I also got the MS scalloped hearts stickers. They come red and pink in a pack. The scalloped heart punch layers beautifully in it. Did I mention how much I love these punches?!?!?
The Valentine paper is from the $1.00 spot at Target. The paper is very thin, but you can't beat an eight-pack for $1.00, and the patterns are very pretty. Notice the little K in the middle of the heart? That's K for Kevin. It's stamped with SU Real Red and the K is from one of the $1.00 alphabet sets from Michael's. I bought six different styles, upper and lower case. I like using these little letters for stamping on punches.
This box was so easy to make and only required tape on the four corners of the box and one strip for the slider cover. If you give this a try, make sure to use red line tape.
Thanks for stopping by today. Check back soon, I'm working on more Valentine projects.
